On a mission

[by Kurt Maeyens, president of the BEM Board of Directors] For almost a century, the BEM has been responding in its own way, to the missionary call of the Master (Matthew 28), by planting churches and doing evangelism in Belgium. In 2015, when I became Director for the Dutch and German-speaking ministries, it was my heart-felt desire that Peter Hartman, Luc Salsac and I should seek God together, and ask ourselves the following questions: How can we spread the Gospel in a way that’s relevant in a world that’s constantly evolving? JOIN US

Let the BEM benefit from the gifts God gave you! We will share with you our experience in church planting and evangelism:

FULL-TIME MINISTRY

The BEM is a Belgian mission working in Belgium. We specialise in evangelism and church planting. Other ministries such as Christian bookstores also contribute to bring the Gospel to each inhabitant of Belgium so that they may have a personal encounter with Christ.

TEAMS

YEAR TEAMS are often comprised of young people willing to give one year of their life for the Kingdom work. They participate actively in the church planting project while receiving theory and practical training.

EVANGELISM TEAMS

EVANGELISM TEAMS are comprised of volunteers. They come from all over the world for one or two weeks to help in “evangelism outreaches” (literature distribution, drama, events, music, conferences, children’s work, etc.) These outreach activities help establish new contacts and make the local church known in its area.

INTERNSHIPS

INTERNSHIPS for those who have theological training. They can participate in a ministry for up to two years, working alongside an experienced missionary and receiving practical training in the area of church growth, pastoral counselling and/or evangelism. We also welcome students for immersion internships for a few weeks.

WORK TEAMS

WORK TEAMS assist different ministries in renovation or building work.
